My 3-year old daughter is complaining her private area hurts.

Resolved Question:

My 3-year old daughter is complaining her "private area" hurts. Upon my inspection, her vagina is bright red, no bumps or discharge. What do you think it is, and what can I do to relieve the burn that is causing her to cry?

How long has she had this problem?

this is the first time of such complaint

The two things that come to mind for this evening would be one of the diaper rash creams (Desitin, Monistat etc) OR Tucks Medicated pads.

I would suggest having her checked tomorrow by her physician to determine the cause.
