Resolved Question:

I'm wondering about behavioral strategies with children (aged 4-11) with high functioning autism. In what way do strategies need to be different to those used with typical kids? I'm wondering how to motivate them to do things they're not interested in e.g. homework, chores. Is there a book you'd recommend for parents and/or teachers?

Hello and Thank You for consulting Just Answer. Would you prefer resources or strategies?

This is my first time using just answer and I'm not clear on how payment works, how you know how much this costs...

If it's cheaper, i'd just like recommended resources.

If it's the same cost i'd like general strategies too.

I'm an occupational therapist, and familiar with basic behavioural strategies. But I've heard these often don't work with kids with high-functioning autism?
