My important question was about my 3 yr old granddaughter who has severe temper tantrums when her dad leaves her. She pulls her hair, pinches herself and crys and screams loudly. I am worried about what she might do to herself.
This is pretty normal separation anxiety and I assure you she won't hurt herself too badly though she might get a few bumps and bruises. If you ignore this behavior and even put her in time out in her room each and every time she does this then eventually she'll tire of being isolated. Best to deal with it firmly now than when she is older.
