Customer Question

I was cleaning my basement floor with bleach and there isn't any ventilation down there. I started feeling sick from it can I still breastfeed now?

Did you leave when you felt sick?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
My son is 8 months old and I just wanted to know if breathing in those fumes could effect my milk.
Expert:  Dr. G. replied 5 years ago.
No. Only if you continue to inhale the fumes. If it was a one time thing then no problem.
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
I was probably in it for 20-30 min
Expert:  Dr. G. replied 5 years ago.

Not a problem. If you had lasting effects from it then that would be a concern. But for 30 minutes should not cause problems with your milk.
