I am aware now that my 13 yr old daughter has tried alcohol, smoking, and I'm worried about the attention she seems to need from boys. I'd like to curb this before it's too late and I feel ridiculously helpless. We've raised 4 boys with out encountering this. She doesn't own a cell phone. Do you have any suggestions?
I think you are doing the right things. I would have suggested reigning her in a bit (i.e. limiting privileges until she can earn them back, holding her accountable for the places she goes and the people she hangs with). Get her involved in positive activities. But it sounds like you are doing just that. So keep it up.
