Greetings:

Legally, stealing is a crime. One can be placed on probation, ordered to a juvenile correction facility, go to jail or be sentenced to prison. Either case, one is left with a criminal record. Employment may be difficult to find for an adult, one may be shunned from society - live life with fewer friends - not too much fun!

The best reading material that you can present to your daughter (children) would be from the police department. All you need to do is contact your local P.D. and ask them to send you the materials.

If you wish for further information, please let me know.

I wish you and your children/family the best.

Bright Blessings.

Peace, Love & Happiness,

The Mystic Wave

stealing....hummmm. well, what i did with my child when she took a candy bar was to take her right back in, and hand back the candy and gave an apology. there are also more stronger methods....there are programs designed to give negetive reinforcement, ie: programs by the criminal justice dept, where they are introduced to minimum security prisoners to tell their stories, how and why they are there. this is a great deversion tatic, very successful.
the local police department may have the information or the PALS program may help.
good luck. tell your sweetie jail and prison is not a nice place to be.
