I am a 41 yr old female who has chronic fractures of the 2nd

hi i am a 41 yr old female who has chronic fractures of the 2nd 3rd and 4th metatarsal iam not a runner nor do i workout it was brought to my attention that the bones washed out and there where scloretic changes and a non union of the 3rd metatarsal now the fractures just happen out of the blue my ques being what is causing this

You may have had what we call bony islands in the bones or bony cysts. These can break after some time and if they go unnoticed they can form nonunions.

Also, it could be that those areas of bone just from birth had low bone density.

Others can have higher pain tolerances and injure their foot without noticing it.

thank you so the low bone density can cause the bones to be washed awayyy and like i mentuoned it was brought to my attention of sclorec changes but they maybe beginnnn can this be a factor of chronic foot fractures

The sclerotic changes probably were due to the long standing fractures.

But yes, the bone density would be the highest likelihood.
