This is Dr. David

I am sorry you are in so much pain .

taking pain kills often can cause inflammation of the stomach called gastritis.

your stomach where your food goes is right below your left ribs.

certain foods can worsen stomach acid and can cause more stomach acid production.

you need to stop taking pain medications and start to use stomach acid reducing medications like maalox, mylanta, zantac and prilosec.

you can talk to your doctor about using prilosec 20mg in the morning and using zantac 150mg at night time

there are also stronger prescription stomach acid reducers like nexium 40mg or protonix 40mg that your doctor can also prescribe to you.

you need to avoid certain foods which worsen stomach acid like spicy foods, alcohol, sodas, fried foods, tomato sauces, oily foods, gluten, dairy, black pepper.

over time, the stomach can heal itself and the inflammation can go away.

let me know if you have questions.
