I have a really bad persistent left shoulder pain radiating

I have a really bad persistent left shoulder pain radiating to my arm. I used to have inly when raising my zhoulder up and moving towards back for 3 months or so, but today it started to hurt more and at night its unbearable and constant today. Definirely got worse today. I cant relieve it with changing position or anything. I am pregnant and cant take drugs. What iz this and what Can I do to relieve? I cant sleep.

Thanks for the question.

To diagnose this, you need an immediate orthopedic exam.

It could be:

Pinched nerve in the shoulder.

Pinched nerve in the neck.

Old injury in the shoulder.

Muscle disease. [unlikely].

Arthritis in the shoulder.

OTher possibilities.

In most cases the treatment is going to be the correct physical therapy.

You can use ice or heat for now, until you see the doc, whichever helps more.

Its dull constant pain at rest and very sharp pain when moving

This goes along with pinched nerve or rotator cuff injury.

But can also be arthritis.
