I am Dr.Sawhney an orthopedic surgeon and I would be happy to help you today.

I am sorry that you had to wait for so long to get an answer. There was a technical glitch and I was not notified about your question.

Severe pain 4-5 months after knee replacement is not normal.Neither is knee popping at every step.

Two major problems would need to be ruled out.

One is infection. You need to have empty stomach ESR and CRP Quantitative blood tests to start with to rule out any infection.

Two instability has to be ruled out. This would need clinical examination by an orthopedic surgeon and X rays including stress view x ray if needed.

Feel free to ask any follow up questions.
