Customer Question

My gamma globulins is 1.8, and immunoglobulin G is 1768. My anti-nuclear antibody is abnormal. My anti-dna antibody is 27. BLO is abnormal. LEU is abnormal. I have a MRSA UTI since a January 2016 kidney stone removal operation, along with blood clots in my superficial saphenous vein for which I am taking Warfarin (also a result of my kidney stone operation). Are these things related and should I be concerned with the gamma globulin and immunogloubin G numbers, or any of the other abnormal items?
JA: In general, how has your health been lately?
Customer: My health has been good up until the January 2016 kidney stone operation.
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: No. I have been mostly healthy.

This is Dr. David

I am sorry you are having MRSA UTI infection after a kidney stone removal procedure.

usually superficial vein thrombosis are not treated with warfarin. they tend to be treated with warm compresses and NSAIDs like ibuprofen or meloxicam and naproxen sodium.

deep venous thrombosis in deeper veins are treated with warfarin.

normal gamma globulin levels are 0.7-1.6. 1.8 is pretty close to normal

normal IgG is(###) ###-####mg/dL . your levels are very close to normal

and are not causing your MRSA and your superficial blood clots.

let me know if you have questions.
