This is Dr. David
thanks for your question
a lump under your armpits which is painless and hasn't changed for many years is not a sign of cancer.
most likely it is an ingrown hair follicle or a subaceous cyst in the skin
or you could be feeling a normal benign lymph node in your arm pit.
let me know if you have questions.
subaceous cysts can be hard for years and stay stable.
you can show the lump to a doctor
I bet they will say it is a subaceous cyst
it is not worrisome and doesn't sound like it needs to be biopsied.
you might not want to read too much about breast cancer if it is causing you to worry too much about it.
you don't need mammograms and ultrasound scans of your breast for breast cancer until age 40
