Is melanoma in children rare?
Online it says melanoma in children can appear different the. In adults. Does that mean it can look like a freckle or look red?
Expert:  Dr. David replied 1 year ago.
Melanoma in children is very very very rare
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Dr David, this is random and weird but I was looking at my hands after my sons.
The webbing area between my index finger and middle finger, under the skin there- it looks like a blue or black dot. If I shine a bright light through it. I can see it clearly. It's just solitary in there and kinda can see it when I stare down at it.
What could this be? It is under the skin. Not on the skin and in the thin skin webbing area.
Expert:  Dr. David replied 1 year ago.
most likely it is a benign mole or freckle.

these can also be below the skin.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Wow. Ok. Can a melanoma grow soley under the skin?
Expert:  Dr. David replied 1 year ago.
it is not a melanoma you have under your skin.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I can only see this if I a shine a light through the thin, web skin between my fingers. I can see a dark dot. It's not on the surface. Or anything. It's like where a vein would be. But it's just a dark circle only seen when light shines.
