My Blood tests came back out of the ordinary during a one year check up post WLS. My Dr. noted the high HGB and HCT. He reffered me to a hematologist/onocologist and he is concerned that my MCV is the issue and that I may have polycythemia vera. He ordered the JAK tests and other tests. I am not B12 or folic acid deficent. Take cymbalta and estrogen, and my AST ALt levels are low now vs a year ago when I was extremely overweight. Looking at past blood work the MCV values were high and were steadly rising.

I may be paranoid, but other than what he thinks it is, could this be something more serious like leukimia?
