Dr. David :

Hello, this is Dr. David. I have read your question and am ready to help.

Dr. David :

I am so sorry you have been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Dr. David :

did you just have a biopsy?

Dr. David :

have you been set up for breast surgery yet? lumpectomy? lymph node dissection?

Dr. David :

the surgery will tell much more about the size of the cancer and if cancer has spread to lymph nodes

Customer : I am having mastectomy and chemo with herceptin but that's not my fear the her2 positive 3+ is scaring me on prognosis
Customer : My lump is 1cm 11mm
Dr. David :

you are correct, her-2/neu means the cancer is more aggressive than usual.

Dr. David :

but your age at age 42 also means your breast cancer is very aggressive.

Dr. David :

but it is not as bad compared to if your breast cancer was triple negative which is

Dr. David :

ER negative, PR negative and her-2/neu negative

Customer : Mine is Er positive pr neg her2 positive
Customer : What exactly does very aggressive mean that it can spread quickly in my body ???
Customer : ??????????
Dr. David :

yes, it has a higher chance of spreading to lymph nodes and to the rest of the body compared to ER+, Her-2 negative breast cancers.

Dr. David :

but you still need a mastectomy and axillary lymph node dissection to see if any lymph nodes are involved with cancer.

Dr. David :

that is another prognostic index.

Dr. David :

if no lymph nodes contain breast cancer that is a point in your favor.

Customer : My fine needle aspiration was clear is that good ??
Customer : I have sentinode biopsy next week
Dr. David :

of the arm pit lymph node?

Dr. David :

that is good, but you still need to have the mastectomy and lymph node dissection to know for sure if breast cancer is in the lymph node

Dr. David :

yes, a sentinel lymph node dissection will tell for sure.

Customer : I know all that I'm just scared it's spread as I have a very bad arm shoulder joint pain and scaredits in there
Dr. David :

I understand.

Dr. David :

don't be scared

Dr. David :

it sounds like you are getting good and timely care in the UK

Dr. David :

your doctors will give you the best treatment to increase to as high as possible your chances of cure.

Customer : But aggressive as in can spread in 4 weeks before my surgery
Customer : Aggressive as in spreading 4 weeks before my surgey
Dr. David :

no, your breast cancer will not spread in 4 weeks before your breast surgery
