I have recently had an ultrasound of my liver (I have auto-immune hepatitis) and now have been asked to attend for an MRI scan with gadolinium, what could be the reason for this?
Person's Gender: Male

Hello, this is Dr. David. I have read your question and am ready to help.
they might have seen a small benign hemangioma in the liver on ultrasound and want to better characterize the spot on MRI scan.
I would get a copy of the liver ultrasound report from your doctor and see what the results show.
I would be happy to review the results of the ultrasounds or the MRI with you here
let me know if you have other questions
