Fuel pressure is way too low, it should be at least 52 psi key on engine off. So next thing I'd do is replace filter, if still too low then replace the pump. Let me know if you have more questions or if there is anything else I can do to help. Thanks.

Rechecked fuel pressure with different gauges
Key on, engine off. 54 psi at rail

sprayed starter fluid in throttle body. Still no start....bigger backfire. Act's like out of time, firing when intake valve is open.

How old are the spark plug wires? Are you sure the comp test readings are accurate? They re a bit low as they should be around 190-210.

Plug wires and plugs new.Found excessive wear trimming chain, slapping cover at bottom and oneside top of tensioner worn off/ cover gaskets leaking near water port. Coolent shot out cover mounting bolt and is also leaking other side into oil. Drained oil / waiting for parts.Rechecked compression with all plugs out.(no oil in engine) 167 low. 182 high. Will recheck when oil is in block.
I find all this odd with a low mileage engine. Waiting on parts.

I was afraid of the timing chain slack. But the compression readings are much better and will probably come up some more after you get it running again.
