Expert:  StLouisWayne replied 1 year ago.

What was wrong with the "emissions" that needed diagnosed?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Just went through emissions. Once the guy unplugged my car from the device he was holding my car wouldn't start.
Expert:  StLouisWayne replied 1 year ago.

So nothing was being diagnosed and you were just getting an emissions test?

Has anyone checked the fuses? I would suspect he somehow blew a fuse.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It is mandatory to have it diagnosed here in Maryland
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Check all the fuses that I see. They are all good.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Are you still there?
Expert:  StLouisWayne replied 1 year ago.

Yes Im here.

Expert:  StLouisWayne replied 1 year ago.

The flashing security light is an indication that the key is not being recognized. Im not sure what he did or didnt do and I doubt you are either so the best place to start is to ask him exactly what he did when he was diagnosing your issue.

That may lead to us having a better idea of what he could have potentially broke.

Its possible that it is completely unrelated to what he did. In that case you will need to get a scan tool and get the codes out of the theft system to see what it is saying for why it isnt seeing the key.

If you have a second key try that.

Also how did you check the fuses?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Don't have a second key. Removed the back seat to get access to those fuses and also the ones on the dash
Expert:  StLouisWayne replied 1 year ago.

Once you accessed them what did you use to check them?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I looked at them visually and none of them appear to be blown
Expert:  StLouisWayne replied 1 year ago.

Use a fuse tester or Ohm Meter.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Don't have the additional $18
Expert:  StLouisWayne replied 1 year ago.

For?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Thats what they charge to switch to a live mechanic
Expert:  StLouisWayne replied 1 year ago.

Oh. I got nothing to do with that. The system is making you offers. Theres no extra cost to continue working with me.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Can you call me.(###) ###-####
Expert:  StLouisWayne replied 1 year ago.

Oh. You wanted a phone call. For that there is an additional charge for the additional service.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
where do we go from here or is this it
Expert:  StLouisWayne replied 1 year ago.

You check the fuses with an ohm meter or fuse tester and replace any bad ones or you get the codes from the theft system so I can help you pinpoint the issue.
