i have a olds 98 the engine lighgt has been on for some time now but the car always worked good but now after a run of 30 km it staals starts again but I have to keep pressure on gaz peddle for about 5 min or so then it ok but on hills it ruts and misses a bit but if I give it more gaz its alright but the engine light blinks on and off for about 15 sec. and somtimes it will staal occasionally . Then when i take it somtime after it will be ok around town but after a run of 30 km it will staal again But besides that it ok . Someone said it was the Master flow sensor that I need a newn one Is the possible???
Optional Information: Make: Oldsmobile Model: 98 intrigue 3.8 liters Year: 98 Already Tried: I put it on scanner they said it master flow sensor They put in a used on but then used one was worse ,the car could not idle properly with the old one so now i'm waiting for a new one

If that was the only code in the computer then I would definitely replace the mass airflow sensor with a new one. Something you can try when the engine starts running bad, unplug the mass airflow sensor. If the engine runs better with the sensor unplugged then the sensor is definitely bad.
