Hi I will send lx5 and l47 procedures and for return and pressure line. that way you have it . I dont see which line you needed so this will cover it.
click here on this blue hyper link
the pressure line
and here
do i need to unbolt steering rack mounts?
its not needed but depending on your tools you may have to.
what about the seating of the o ring into the pump?
both sides need to be Tighten the power steering pressure hose to the power steering gear to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.) and to the stearing pump
and the heat shield is wedged between the exhaust and the rack it doesn't just slide out.

the stabilizer links will have to be removed and the shaft rotated.
and if it bends a bit when taking it out it wont be the first time.
yes but back to the o ring at the pump. they keep getting sliced when i tighten it down or am i tightening too much? is the o ring supposed to slide into the hole or is it supposed to seal on the edge of the hole?
I would have to see can you upload picture for me? use would use the paper clip to browse your pictures
a oring never is compressed though
it is on male part
you can also maybe look at return line oring for reference
The outer edge of the o ring is what gets sliced so when i take the line out I have an outer ring and an inner ring from where it is sliced.
is it the right size? there are thinner and thicker orings?
or is this what came with line?
its what came with the pump which is what i originally was replacing, so i bought a new line and it also came with the same size o rings
put oring where flat surface is if it slices when you put it in that what is supposed to do unless it was leaking from that fitting
flat surface of oring
I have seen them split over time also . it may not split or slice when you put it in.
you can follow up with me after accept if needed.
ok thank you for your help i will give a try
on the heat shield If not, the only way will be to disconnect the rack and pinion from the steering column, making sure that the steering is in lock position to avoid damage to the clock spring.Remove the steering gear mounting bolts.Disconnect the tie rod end and rotate the rack and pinion at 90-degree front to make the treads visible.
