what does code p0446 and p1404 require to repair

it is a 2000 alero with a 3.4 litre engine. it has about 160000 kms or 100000 miles
The p0446 is typicall a faulty EVAP vent valve. And the p1404 is for a faulty egr valve, though it can also be the wiring or the connector for the egr.
where is the evap vent valve and the egr located?
The evap vent valve is uner the car forward of the gas tank.
