MrDiag :

Hi, My name is XXXX XXX I am here to answer your Oldsmobile questions. Please provide as much information as possible so I can better assist you.

MrDiag :

Have you ever replaced the sockets themselves?

Customer :

passinger socket burnt up this time. bulb on drivers side burnt out.wire is hot on passenger side

MrDiag :

There is a common issue with the socket overheating and causing bulb failure and poor connections. The fix is usually replacing the sockets and bulbs. If you test for power and ground at the socket wires and they are present then replacing sockets should fix it.

You have not replaced the sockets yet, correct?

Customer :

no

MrDiag :

OK. Does the issue I have described sound like the same problem that you are having?

Customer :

I don't know? Ithougt maybe short, will go tomorrow and get socks.

MrDiag :

Most often this is the cause of the problem you are describing. If you need additional help with this, you can follow up to this post by returning to this page even after you accept my answer. My goal is to provide quality service.

MrDiag :

I hope you have found this information helpful.

Customer :

thanks
