The crank sensor is located on the side of the block. The starter must be removed for access.

i'll hit accept, but have a related question. at 4000 rpm the engine speed drops 500 then climbs back up to 4000. is this motor governed at 4000 or do i still have a related crank sensor problem. after changeout the computor didn't send any codes thus i think the engine is overned at 4000? any thoughts?
The computer does govern the speed to 4000 rpm. The drop in rpm is normal.
