Customer Question

Not a printer, scanner. Epson Gt-1500 scans 1 page from document feeder and then an error says check for paper jam. There is no paper jam!
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your Epson is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: Model Gt-1500. About 5 years old.
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: PC, windows 10.
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: Issue for 2 weeks. There was a paper jam but I cleaned it all out.
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?

Are you certain all fragments of paper were cleared out?

Can you try pushing a piece of thin card through the paper feed slot to ensure any tiny pieces of paper get removed?

Customer: replied 8 days ago.
I checked for paper and fragmants, pushed card through, and blew air thru slot. Still doing same thing.

It is only happening once and awhile now!
Expert:  ElectronicsPete replied 7 days ago.

OK, if there is no paper fragments, then there may be some paper dust on the sensor - blowing air should help clear that.

Hopefully it clears up completely for you!

Best,

Pete.
