I have a Xerox Workcentre 7535 that I have been unable to

Customer Question

I have a Xerox Workcentre 7535 that I have been unable to configure to save a scan to a network folder. I can save to a USB and can scan to email. It seems to fail like there is a permission issue. I have given full rights including domain level password ***** resolve. I would be willing to assist a specialist to remote access the Xerox GUI and try to fix what I am assuming is a configuration problem. Thx

Hello,

Are you getting an error when you attempt to scan to network?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
no: When the machine attempts to save the scan, on the control panel of the Xerox, it will very briefly say "failed", then it deletes the job.

What type of network location are you scanning to?

Do you have a DHCP network?

sorry: missed this response.
I think this is a role in Windows 2012
Maybe we can talk via phone... When available as I will have to go to office

Ok, let me know when you have the network info...

Pete, the issue was proven to me to be Windows SMB. I could do it if I had a Win 7 computer or Win 2008 server...but I have Win 2012 and Win 2010 workstations. At this point, I'm in quigmire as I read it is a configuration in Windows, not Xerox patch as I hoped before. The xerox has the latest firmware.

Ok, this is where I was going with the network setup...

I'm still not sure how your network is configured, or what firewalls you have, but if you temporarily disable the firewalls can you then scan successfully to the network location? If so, you will need to create a firewall rule to allow the scanner through.

that was tried before...including fully disabling the firewall on Win 2012 server to see if that was the problem. It still wouldn't save.

Ok, please let me know what else has also been tried already - it will assist with my troubleshooting.

Also let me know how the network is set up, how many computers, etc...
