I have several Cannon MB5300 printers. I can print but no longer scan. Using OSX 10.10.5 now on a new Mac Pro. Before I was using OS X 10.09.5 on another Mac Pro. I tied to delete the printer and add-it back. AN Apple customer support deleted some Preference files that he tought could create conflict. He told me to contact Canon. I can print and scan no problem on HP and Sharp printers

Where did you add the printer back again from?

You will need to ensure you are using the latest printer driver from the Canon website:

I added the printer back by clicking "+" (=add) on the printer menu and the mac found the printer. Your link above goes to a Page not found

I went back to the Canon web site and downloaded this printer driver referenced below. Same issue.
