Thank you for that information. You can try unplugging the copier for 10 full minutes from its power cord.
If that works great, but if not, this unit will need a new touch screen, they fail over that long period of time and actually yours has out lasted so many others so yours did very well, typically they last about 5 years.
This is a part that would need to be installed by a printer repair shop or someone who has experience with electronic soldering and rework because its really easy to cause further damage if you aren't familiar with this type of work. That said, if you do have that experience, I will help you fix this and let you know the bet place to get a new replacement touch screen module.
