Hi, thank you for contacting JustAnswer.com. My name is***** will do what I can to provide the right answer to your question.
I cannot immediately answer your question, because you seem to have stated a completely invalid Xerox (or other?) model number. XE909FX does not suggest any device model that actually exists, it seems.
And since Xerox Fault Codes are specifically keyed to the model number, the E7 fault code cannot be diagnosed meaningfully, until you have stated a valid Xerox (or perhaps Fuji Xerox, or maybe Ricoh or Konica-Minolta...) model number.
So please let me know. Thanks.
(However, in general terms, when a Xerox device says 'Call Service' it really means it. A service tech is required for such problems, and there is no customer remediation otherwise. So even when the error is identified, please be prepared for the probability of having to call a service tech.)
OK - the XE90fx is definitely a Xerox device, but I assure you, 'XE909fx' brought up absolutely nothing.
Press the pink Clear button and the button below the word Auto, like this:
CLEAR - AUTO - CLEAR - AUTO
and all the lights on the control panel of the device should go out.
Then, press the [10s] key once, and the [1s] key four times over, to enter
on the LCD display.
Press the START button, and press the CLEAR button two times.
This should, if it 'goes through', clear the error. It's a reset, and may clear the E7 error.
Let me know how it goes.
