how the fax works???
Already Tried: put one cord to the telephonic cord and another at the back of the fax machine in line 1

ACTUALLY I GOT THIS MACHINE FROM SOMEONE
First, you need a phone line connected directly from the wall jack to the jack on the back of the printer labeled LINE (not TEL or EXT)
From there, you simply place a piece of paper in the ADF or on the glass, press the fax button, dial your number, then press black or start.
what's ADF means,on fax feeder or on the glass to scan

ADF means automatic document feeder.
The fax feeder at the top of the machine. You can use this, or put the paper directly on the glass by lifting the lid of the scanner.

the result says "image on fax send report is set to off
it says 0 pages,no answers

The note you see on your screen is just detailing the confirmation report settings. You can program the fax to provide different types of reports regarding the status of faxes you send, including no confirmation, a printed confirmation report, or one showing an image of the first page of the fax that was sent.
None of these reports are required, and you may leave the settings as is.Did you hear the fax pick up the phone line and dial the number? Did it feed the paper through?
i hear the dialing tone but the paper din't go through
You may not have it in far enough, or else the feeder is broken.
Try placing the paper directly on the glass, and resend.

Are you sure you're dialing the correct number?
Even if you are dialing the correct number, if the fax machine on the other end isn't set to auto answer, you won't get a response.
