54 yo woman. Vaginal dryness with severe burning. I have been using vagisil prohydrate twice a week and has been feeling well. I used a vaginal suppository before sexual intercourse but I now have severe burning.
What can I do or take ? Supplements other vaginal inserts. I'm miserable

You are probably menopausal and may have atrophic vaginitis related to decreased estrogen hormone blood levels. You should be seen by a primary care doctor to examine and treat what the underlying problem is. Trying to use different otc products end up spending more money than a careful exam. I hope my information can ease your concern and lead to relief of your symptoms.

I do have vaginal atrophy. I guess I need to try the vaginal estrogen.

You should and it will initially burn because the vaginal cell lining is so thin. 2 or 3 days should start building up the lining so it will not burn.
