BV always has a bad odor. It tends to come and go.

Fluconazole is for a yeast infection. The main symptom of a yeast infection is itching. If you haven't had significant itching, you haven't had a yeast infection.

A diagnosis of what is causing your white discharge would require a microscopic exam from the discharge. Sometimes a white discharge is completely normal.

When the bad odor occurs, it can usually be treated well with metronidazole or clindamycin. However, it can come back. We don't understand it well enough to always know the best treatment.

I would recommend that you see a good OB/GYN for another opinion and the best treatment. Best regards.
