Customer Question

I have been experiencing preg***** *****ke symptoms such as heart burn, nausea, bloating, stomach cramps, erratic emotions (Crying for silly reasons) and haven't had my period for 5 weeks. I've taken 4 hpt and all have come back negative. I usually have heavy periods very often if not on contraceptive pill. I've been off the contraceptive pill for 6 weeks. I bleed heavily for the first when and have not bled since, which is unusual for me. I have iron deficient anemia and a hormone imbalance. Could this be causing my symptoms or could I be pregnant?

This is Dr. David

hormone imbalance can definitely cause your symptoms

your home pregnancy tests are all negative

your periods sound like they are irregular when you are off of the pill.

you may need to use over the counter stomach acid reducers to treat your heart burn.

I bet you are not pregnant.

if you don't want to be pregnant and want to stay sexually active, you should go back on the pill.

I hope you are taking some iron supplements to replace the iron you loose in your heavy periods

let me know if you have questions.
