My husband and I have been trying to conceive for about 8

Customer Question

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for about 8 months now. I am a 32 year old normal bmi healthy female. My cycles run from about 26-27 days and my periods usually always last 3 days. Two days of heavy and 1 day of moderate flow. My obgyn decided to put me on clomid this past month cycle days 5-9. My opk stated my peak was cd 15 in the evening.
My temps were high from cd22-29. I ended up with heavy flow on cd 30 and now nothing. With my period being 3 days late. I have had some brown clots minimal when using the restroom. Cramps are gone and my temp still seems to be high.
Why would I only have a one day heavy period? Could I be pregnant?

This is Dr. David

you could have had just a very short period this month.

you can do a home pregnancy test, but chances are you are not pregnant.

you should try again this month again and take clomid days 5-9.

don't give up, you have to keep on trying.

anxiety and stress can sometimes affect your period and shorten your period as well

are you under more anxiety and stress recently?

Thanks. No more stress than normal. My breasts were supper sore so I thought there was a glimmer of hope.
What's your
Recommendation of care if clomid doesn't work? My doctor said 3 cycles of clomid and an ultrasound to make sure my tubes aren't block.

What's your recommendation for BDING in the fertile window

yes, I agree with your doctor.

try 3 cycles of clomid and get an ultrasound of your tubes

your husband will eventually need sperm evaluation if you continue to have problems getting pregnant.

more than 50% of the time, there are problems with sperm and sperm motility which can affect pregnancy.

keep using the ovulation prediction kits and monitoring your temp.
