I had a transvaginal ultrasound yesterday for on ovarian

Customer Question

I had a transvaginal ultrasound yesterday for a follow up on ovarian cysts. They are about 2 cm , the largest is 3 cm. I have had period like cramps since then when I lay down. It woke me up a few times in the night due to the discomfort. The tech had the wand in there a while compared to my last one and was really pushing around and my ovary with the cysts was quite sore when she was pressing on it. Is this cramping normal?

Hello,

if symptoms like this continue, they can be caused by inflammation. Please visit your OB/GYN then for a checkup by control of the blood values.

Hope you get well soon.
