Customer Question

My name is***** am 36 years old and i usually have a normal period - 3-5 days no complications or cramps - but today makes day 16 that I have been on my peirod and it gets extremely heavy - to the point of having to leave work shower and change clothes (but has been generally heavy the whole cycle) on top of multiply blood clots at one time -- mostly very large --- what could cause this?

Hello,a bleeding procedure like this is caused by hormonal imbalance. If it lasts longer than 10 days, treatment is required. I would recommend a hormonal treatment with gestagen for 1 week, please contact your OB/GYN for prescription, this should resolve the problem.Kind regards,Dr. N. Scheufele
