I stopped my Nuvaring on 2/7/16. I had what appeared to be

Customer Question

I stopped my Nuvaring on 2/7/16. I had what appeared to be my period beginning 2/10/16, and it lasted the usual 7days. I haven't had a period since (now day 42). All preg tests have been negative.
We were previously trying to conceive for 2 years unsuccessfully. Last February I had uterine polyps removed. We continued to try until June when I decided to start Nuvaring, so that was about 9 months on birth control.
Was my initial bleeding just withdrawal or was it a period? Is it still possible that I'm pregnant?

This type of hormone disruption after the nuvaring can last up to a year.

They don't tell you this, but I have had many couples in the same situation.

You should take measure to balance hour hormonal status

Diet, exercise, nutrition.

And, you should see a doctor familiar with hormones.

You should have

a sex hormone panel

thyroid studies

adrenal hormone panel.

Find a doctor that has training in hormones/endocrinologist.

This would be an internist or functional medicine doctor, or some OB doctors and fertility specialists.
