Customer Question

I am 33. I have had normal periods since I started when I was 11. I had a normal period 10 days ago and started again yesterday. I have had bad lower back pain that started 3-4 days ago. Any cause for concern?

Are you sexually active?

Do you use anything for birth control?

Did your normal period 10 days ago come exactly when expected? Thank you.

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Sexually active. My husband and I use condoms after several types of birth control did not work well for me. The first period came as expected.

I doubt that there is any cause for concern. At age 33, it may be some hormonal changes resulting in the bleeding.

You might also have some fibroid tumors of your uterus, which also become common during the 30's.

An STD can cause abnormal bleeding, but that seems very unlikely.

It's hard to know what is causing the lower back pain, but that's a pretty nonspecific symptom.

I would give it some time and see if everything doesn't work itself out. If things don't resolve, then I'd see your doctor. Best wishes.
