Ob-Gyn questions? Ask a gynecologist online.
You should see your ob gyn. This is likely due to a decrease in progesterone that starts to occur many years prior to menopause. This extends the second half of your cycle and makes the cycle longer. It is not harmful and is to be expected. You can make a routine appointment with your Dr.
This could be an ovarian cyst I am assuming your Dr will order an ultrasound. a cyst can also cause your cycle to be longer if it is a functioning cyst.
