Customer Question

Hi Doctor. Last week I saw blood during sex which is not normal so I went to my GP and he examined me and said he saw an inflammation on my cervics which was covered by some mucuos so he took blood to test for STI's and he gave me some antibiotics as well doxy metronidazole and a jab cant remember the name. Anyway today I went back for my results and they are all negative no STI in my body. So now im worried what could it be?

Hello,

bleeding during sexual contact can be caused by a mild inflammation of cervix, which not always has to be accompanied by infection. It may be a so called ectopia, which gives not at all a reason to worry. If problem occurs repeatedly, a laser-treatment could resolve it.

Of course you now don´t have to use the prescribed medicaments.

Best regards,
