I took Plan on July 19th 5 hours after having unprotected

Customer Question

I took Plan B on July 19th 5 hours after having unprotected sex. I started having moderate to heavy brown spotting on July 27th continuous through today (August 5th) and no bleeding. I have also taken 2 pregnancy tests one Friday, July 31st and the other one yesterday August 4th, both came back negative. Should I be concerned with the brown spotting? I was supposed to start my period yesterday and the brown spotting continues.

If you had become pregnant on JUly 19, your pregnancy test would be positive by now. The brown spotting may be a start of a period. You can expect some abnormal and irregular bleeding during the next month due to Plan B This is normal and to be expected.
