Thank you kindly for your feedback. As an OB/GYN is it "normal" that a cycle switches up suddenly like this? Should it had come down by now? This is the first time in my menstrual history that I a feel all these symptoms with a "missed" or "late" period. I just don't want this to be all in my head. I've gone ahead and place an order for pregnancy test on www.early-pregnancy-tests.com. I am waiting patiently for my shipment.
No, it is not normal for a menstrual period to switch suddenly. Women who have regular periods usually continue to have regular periods. Occasionally though, periods can get delayed due to stress. Stress can also cause gassiness, bloating etc but not cramps.
