Ob-Gyn questions? Ask a gynecologist online.
are you there?
clear, blood tinged discharge
never happened before, but you have been hanging out with a new female friend recently.
no risk for infection/std
are you on any medication, birth control, etc?
any breast tenderness or possibilites of pregnancy?
ok...it only takes once!!
anyway, if you miss your period tomorrow, give it a few days and take a pregnancy test just to make sure.
I understand...5 and 10 y/o at home
sure, but it's normally a sign of ovulation.
like mid cycle
outside of that it is usually a hormonal shift or inflammation...
now, we do know that women who spend lots of time together start to menstruate and cycle together.
an interesting phenomenon that struck me as quite odd when I first started in gynecology.
bright bleeding is usually not menstrual bleeding...and that can also be due to hormonal changes, polyps, fibroids, etc
you've had normal pap tests each year right?
given your age and the transient nature of this episode..I don't think it sounds like anything serious
If you miss your period...take the pregnancy test.
if that's negative I suspect this is a transient 'hormonal mutany' probably due to the synching
if it persists beyond another cycle or two, I'd probably ask for an ultrasound just to check for polyps/fibroids in the uterus.
basically meaning your hormones are not cooperating with your body
it's probably still there and they do get bigger with time
could be the cause too.
sounds like a good plan

really...nothing is required.
if there is not pain or abnormal bleeding..they are completely benign.
if it causes a persistent problem we can take them out.
that might be a touch of endometriosis.
ibuprofen a few days before you period start and through your period might help that.
