Hello I get my periods every 28 days and last month on april 20th I got my period but it was heavy the first day and got light the second day and the 3 day was only a light pinkish when I would whip just barely could see it. Well my lower back has been hurting I have taken at least 5 pregnancy tests which all come out as negative. Could I be pregnant or is something else wrong?
Hello, I would be happy to assist you.
Are you taking medications/using contraception?
Do you have any medical issues?
Any recent stress, illness, change in your diet/exercise/weight?
Is this a new partner? When were you last tested for STD's?
no meddication or contraception
no medical issues that i know of
not that i know of just very emotional very much lately
no new partner been married 6 years and have 4 kids
When was the last time you had a physical and annual blood testing?
not since my last baby about year ago
I apologize for the delay, but I keep typing responses and somehow I get booted out of the chat.
I don't understand why this is occurring, but it is an issue with the site. I had almost completed it when it just happened again. I'm sorry.
Trying again....
I would recommend you visit your ob/gyn and have an exam and ultrasound performed. This will help identify any uterine masses or ovarian cysts that can cause abnormal bleeding. However, it is possible that this is a hormonal issue. Ovarian cysts commonly occur due to hormonal issues and can cause your back pain if large enough. Blood tests to check your hormones and thyroid should also be performed. Since the thyroid regulates many bodily functions, when this is abnormal one can develop abnormal bleeding and emotional issues. With these blood tests, your doctor should confirm your negative pregnancy tests as well. The ultrasound will also help identify a pregnancy.
If you are using reputable tests (not dollar store brand) and taking it correctly, your test should be positive by now if due to pregnancy. So, I usually don't recommend continued pregnancy testing if you've had 3 or more negative tests over a weeks time.
well than it has to do with the thyroid possible but i am not pregnant
i know the last 3 i took at work they were expired the nurse just realized that
and i took another test but i dont know because i peed a lil on the screen if it made a difference
That's ok. You can just have your doctor test you. However, it doesn't sound like 3 of your tests were performed correctly. Do you have a gynecologist who can see you soon?
If not, purchase a name brand test, like First Response. Don't drink or urinate overnight and take the test using your first urine of the day tomorrow to confirm.
well i dont have no insurance at the time so thats why i wanted someone to answer my question
Ok. Well, specifically the answer to your question is yes, you can be pregnant and taking your tests incorrectly (repeat test tomorrow using instructions above). However, as I also described above, there can be other reasons for your symptoms.
Since you do not have insurance, contact your nearest Planned Parenthood via www.plannedparenthood.org as they offer services at reduced costs. You can also contact your local health department to see if there are any free clinics you can visit. Sometimes the wait for a free clinic is a few weeks, so it may be faster to visit Planned Parenthood.
well i have had bloated feelings and naesua when i eat and headaches
This could be due to either pregnancy or hormonal issues.
You will have to have testing to determine which is the cause.
i will have to look into the plan parent hoods
to see i they can test for any of that
thanks for your help this is a one time fee right they wont charge me a million times will they
Yes. Planned Parenthood can definitely test you. They are nationwide so you should have no trouble finding one near you.
As long as you didn't sign up for any kind of regular deductions, this should be one time.
You're so welcome...by the way.
