Thank you for the input,

In this age due to low estrogen there can be less lubrication, thinning and low elasticity of vaginal mucosa. It can cause pain during intercourse. It can cause pain on one side. Besides lubricant, adequate foreplay and stimulation from the partner may help to lubricate the vagina properly. Sometimes estrogen cream can help. You can discuss with your doctor whether this can be appropriate for you. The other factors can be spasm, infection, growth etc. Frequent douching, smoking should be avoided. You can use otc water-based lubricant system JO, KY jelly. If there is no improvement, should have a gynecological examination.

Any query, please feel free to ask.
It will be my privilege to assist you.
Regards.

When the estrogen level goes down, the skin or mucosa of the vaginal wall becomes thin. So mild rubbing during sex can cause injury in the vaginal wall. In spasm, the muscles in the vaginal area contracts. Infection can be from bacteria, fungus. Growth is tumor. It can be harmless or cancer.
