Monika Hearne, M.D. :

Hello, I would be happy to assist you.

Monika Hearne, M.D. :

Did you have any discomforts well before your bladder infection/yeast infection?

Monika Hearne, M.D. :

Do you have any leakage of urine?

Customer:

No discomfort really before. Dr. 2 years ago had said bladder had slipped some. No leakage of urine...just getting frustrated with uncomfortable feeling.

Monika Hearne, M.D. :

I would recommend you visit a gynecologist to confirm your infections have resolved and to determine if additional weakening of your vagina has occurred.

Monika Hearne, M.D. :

If so, your options are to have a device inserted into your vagina to support it and your bladder; called a pessary. This device can stay in place for 3 months. Afterward it is removed, washed, and reinserted.

Monika Hearne, M.D. :

Another option is to have this surgically corrected.

Monika Hearne, M.D. :

However, since you did not have symptoms prior to the infection, it leads me to believe there is some type of residual infection. Your gynecologist should be able to determine this and treat you appropriately.
