Dear Doctor,For religious reasons, I have decided not to have vaginal sex before I get married in order to keep my hymen intact. However last week, me and my boyfriend were engaged in Anal sex. There was one time when his penis slided out and he accidentally pushed in a bit close to my vagina. It hurt very slightly but he took it back out at once. He said he felt some resistance (I am guessing that can be my hymen?) and I don't think he has put his penis into my vagina (as I didn't feel it at all).Myconcern is that I noticed a few red spots afterwards and I bled a little. What would be the cause of that? Does that mean that my hymen is broken? But since he didn't really put his penis in my vagina and he didn't feel that anything has "popped" - I would imagine that my hymen is still intact? However, if thats the case, what is the cause of the bleeding? I went to see my GP and she said that it may just be trauma. What does that mean? Can my hymen be hurt but not broken? It is very important to me that my hymen is still intact. Please help me answer this question to ease my mind. Thank you.

yes i do
Since you are having a period, your hymen is not 100% intact so you might have edges missing etc so what you are trying to accomplish is really a falicy - hymens are just never intact in any woman who has a period.I hope this helps - Please click on ACCEPT as we have been answering your questions - and this is a pay for use website, thank you
thank you for your reply, Doctor Owen. When you mention there'd be edges missing in the hymen, do you mean there're holes in the hymen ?
Take care...
