Hello, and I am pleased to help, use of my answers are for educational purposes only. What is your height and weight?HAve you been evaluated by an ob/gyn?
When I was 20 I seen a obgyn that told me I had pcos but I went for a 2nd opinion and was told I didnt. I'm confused on what to believe. I'm 5'3 198lbs
Guess what - your second opinion was wrong - you have PCOS based on infertility and your weight. And, if you want to get pregnant, then you need to face this and realize you are overweight, you need to work on this. Because when you are overweight and infertility problems, then you have what is known as an inability to ovulate because you are producing too much estrogen and hence due to the chemistry you have a thick capsule around the ovaries and you are not ovulating. So, YOU do have PCOS and to help you should Lose the weight to about 140 to 150 lbs, and you should be on Metformin.I hope this helps, if you have more questions, please askPlease click on ACCEPT, thank you
what is metformin and can it only be prescribed by a doctor by a doctor?
I would STRONGLY recommend that you see an ob/gyn and an ob/gyn that cares and who knows what they are talking about because I have an inkling that you are not being taken care of appropriately .Yes, Metformin is a prescription, and as are all the medications for PCOS.I hope this helps, if you have more questions, please askPlease click on ACCEPT, thank you
