Vein on perineum, which looks like a varicose vein. Bulging

Customer Question

Vein on perineum, which looks like a varicose vein. Bulging and irritating. I have tried massaging it down each evening. The bulging goes down but the vein - blue, ropey- is still visible.

I quit my job in retail - standing on my feet all day, thinking this may have contributed to the condition. What can I do? Is there an injection or treatment to shrink the vein?

I have not been pregnant, i think I am just really unlucky. I dont want to go to a gyno just to have someone look at it. I find those exams horrifying.

Would vein support tablets help?

It probably is a varicose vein, which sometimes occur on the vulva. It can be treated with an injection. I would see a surgeon that deals with varicose veins for this, since the average OB/GYN has never done injections for varicose veins. Standing on your feet all day will contribute to varicose veins. I don't think there are any tablets that will be helpful. Best wishes.
