I have ovarian cyst, Im having brownish discharge for over

I have ovarian cyst, I'm having brownish discharge for over 10 days. I thought it's asign of period starting but no period so far aside from brownish discharge, what can it be?

not yet the cyst was found last month so I was suppose to use Jasmin frm 5th of my cycle, which I'm not getting

yes, but the doctor told me to use Jasmin to help with cyst, starting on 5th of my period and I don't know if this brownish discharge is my period to start the pill

no, I haven't had unprotected intercourse

This brown discharge could be anything- from a possible pregnancy to an infection

the discharge is not smelly, no itchyness or any sign of infection

so, this is NOT likely to be a BV (bacterial vaginosis) infection

But, could be another type of infection, but most likely just old blood, or possible blood from an ovarian cyst

how can I make sure? do I need to wait? because I feel all symptoms of gettig my period, cramps ..., I'm so wooried about pregnancy

and also I don't know if I can start my pills now

Well, take a pregnancy test if you are less than 3 to 4 days from your period.

Also, this is usually not much to be too concerned about -

I had my period last month on second so I have past the day like last month, cause since I hav ethe cyst my cycle is not normal

And, you do have normal PAP smears?

I haven't had any PAP smears

You have NEVER had a PAP smear ever?

I just had blood test and sonogram and the doctor said its a simple cyst

Oh, simple cyst - that is absolutely normal - we do not treat these except with birth control pills or something similar

Dr. Wilson :

I would suggest a PAP smear too, this could be abnormal cervical cells.

Dr. Wilson :

But, you should have a PAP smear - it is recommended to have a PAP smear starting at age 21 and every year there after

here they don't do it until you are sexually active!!!! actually not married!!!

Since most abnormal cervical cells are from HPV (Human Papilloma Virus

which is sexually transmitted

And, so I would start the birth control pills - this is most likely due to hormonal fluctuations and the pills will help
