Hi,

This may happen from dryness or 'cracked nipple'.

You can try eucerin cream topically & see if you feel better.

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
NO, my nipples are not dry or cracked. The burning is coming from inside. They are sensitive and sore as well

Another possibility is fungal infection or candidosis.

This responds to topical anti fungal cream like clotrimazole ointment.

Could this me a side effect from any medications?
Expert:  Dr Basu replied 7 years ago.

Unlikely.

Could it be Paget's disease? I read something on it. I have the possible symptoms.
Expert:  Dr Basu replied 7 years ago.

Nipple adenoma, a benign condition

Toker cell hyperplasia, another benign condition--- are more common.

Paget's disease or certain type of skin cancers like bowen's disease should be considered if the the condition is persistent & worsening.
